SpareOne Mobile Phone with 15 Year Battery Life Introduced at CES 2012


With mobile phone technology reaching new heights, the need for better battery backup is evident and very important. Thus, SpareOne's "spare" mobile phones offers batteries that run up to 15 years, irrespective of whether they are charged or not. According to the company, it has been designed for emergency purposes.
Running on a AA battery, the latest SpareOne phones have been launched at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012. It is a "backup" phone to be kept in the glove compartment to be used during emergencies.
According to XPAL Power, the developer of these phones, "It's essentially designed to make and receive the most important calls, no matter what," reports The Economic Times.
These phones can be set for immediate access to key contacts that include emergency services in any place. It can also transmit its location automatically through its mobile ID and comes with a built-in torch.
The developers stated that SpareOne is best to leave in the car for any emergency situation or when travelling.
Surprisingly, a single AA battery provides talk time up to 10 hours. These mobile phones have been made available in US for $49.99 - later this year an international version will be released.
